What is the difference between an initial consultation and a mandate?
Initial consultation = first legal assessment. Mandate = active representation (court proceedings, negotiations, written submissions).
Can I get an appointment at short notice?
For urgent matters (summons, search, termination), I try to offer immediate availability. Please call directly.
In which languages do you advise?
German and English.
Online Consultation
Is full representation possible online?
Consultation, strategy and communication are fully possible online. Court representation requires the lawyer's personal appearance in court - your location is irrelevant.
Which video service do you use?
A GDPR-compliant service without data transfer to third countries. Details are shared with the appointment confirmation.
Can I send documents digitally in advance?
Yes, via encrypted email or secure upload (on request).
Costs & Fees
What does an initial consultation cost?
Costs are based on RVG or an individual fee agreement. For online initial consultations, an advance is proposed after review.
When does a fee claim arise?
Only after written acceptance of the mandate. Submitting the form does not establish an attorney-client relationship.
Will my legal expenses insurance cover the costs?
Often yes, at least partially. Please indicate in the form whether you are insured.
Criminal Law
What should I do if I receive a summons as a suspect?
Use your right to remain silent. Do not make statements without legal advice. Contact your lawyer immediately.
What should I do during a house search?
Allow entry (no resistance), say nothing, observe carefully, note names/badge numbers, call your lawyer immediately.
Defence & Armament Law
When should a defence startup seek legal advice?
As early as possible, ideally before product development. Licensing obligations under KWKG and the Dual-Use Regulation should be clarified before first sales.
What happens in case of a violation of KWKG?
KWKG violations are criminal offenses. Consequences may include substantial fines and imprisonment. I provide criminal defense in these cases.
